Copsat Satellite Tracking has equipped a customer's fleet with a solution based on Escort TD-BLE sensors. This was quick and easy thanks to integrating the sensors with Rinho Telematics trackers and the RedGPS platform. The solution was chosen as the best alternative to CANBUS tracking.
Copsat's customer faced a specific challenge: the vehicle did not have CAN connectivity. The lack of this feature didn’t allow the implementation of fuel tracking solutions that rely on this connectivity, requiring an effective and less invasive alternative such as BLE technology for detailed fuel consumption monitoring.
In response to this need, the Escort TD-BLE fuel level sensor was selected for its ability to operate independently of systems such as CANBUS using advanced Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology for rapid installation that requires no invasion of the vehicle's electrical system.
The ease of installation and calibration via an Android app enabled seamless integration with the Rinho Spider IoT device, ensuring accurate and reliable measurement without the complexities of traditional alternatives. A seamless integration was achieved thanks to the robust RedGPS platform. This facilitated the visualisation of fuel level sensor information and enabled the implementation of advanced alerts and comprehensive analytics for proactive and detailed fleet management.
Marcelo Vera, CEO of COPSAT Satellite Tracking, highlighted the effectiveness of the solution:
‘The customer was extremely satisfied; the configuration of the equipment and sensors proved to be simple and effective.’
This project not only optimised the installation process but also enhanced the customer's ability to effectively monitor and manage fuel consumption. Rinho Spider IoT's BLE fuel level sensor technology and analytical capabilities have proven to be key tools in reducing costs and increasing operational efficiency.
